Social Networking Policy

Topic 5 of 8 5 min

What you post online can reflect on Cassano’s — and on you. This policy applies to all social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, Reddit, and any other public or semi-public platform.

What You Cannot Post

  • Photos or videos of the store interior, kitchen, food preparation, POS screens, or customer orders
  • Photos or videos of coworkers, customers, or managers taken without their consent
  • Customer names, contact information, or order details of any kind
  • Any content that is disparaging about Cassano’s, its management, its customers, or your coworkers
  • Confidential business information: pricing strategy, vendor details, promotional plans

What You Can Post

You are allowed to say you work at Cassano’s and share general positive experiences. If you post about work:

  • Make clear the views are your own — use a disclaimer like “Opinions are my own and do not represent my employer”
  • Never represent yourself as speaking on behalf of Cassano’s unless you have been specifically authorized to do so

No Posting on the Clock

  • Do not use your phone for social media during your scheduled shift hours
  • This applies whether you are on the floor, in the back, or on a break on company property
Violations Have Consequences

Posting content that violates this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination — particularly if the content harms the brand, discloses customer information, or creates a hostile environment for coworkers.

Why This Policy Exists

Cassano’s has spent decades building a reputation in this community. A single poorly-worded post, a video of something going wrong in the kitchen, or a public complaint about a coworker can reach thousands of people in hours. The policy is not about controlling your personal life — it is about protecting the workplace and the brand that makes everyone’s paycheck possible.

If You Are Unsure

If you are not sure whether something is okay to post — do not post it. Ask your manager first.
